C.A.T.I. is a community resource and tool. The information in the database is crowdsourced and provided as-is without guarantees of completeness or accuracy.

Verify equipment details

Camera operators and rental providers may configure equipment differently from what is listed. Always verify critical details directly with the equipment provider before relying on them.

Limitation of liability

By using this site, you agree that C.A.T.I. is not responsible for any loss or damages resulting from reliance on database content, including but not limited to decisions made on set or during production.

Reference photos of cameras

Field photos you upload

Signed-in members can upload a photo of themselves using a camera in the field. When you upload a field photo you keep ownership of it, and you grant C.A.T.I. and Vandelay Sound Exports, Inc., including its current and future brands, projects and affiliates (for example SetSync Central), a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to:

• display the photo on C.A.T.I., on the page of the camera it shows and elsewhere on the site;
• use the photo in promotional materials and social media channels, with credit to the display name and Instagram handle on your profile where practical;
• resize, crop and reformat the photo as needed for those uses.

You confirm the licence with a checkbox on every upload. The Terms version in force at that moment is recorded with the photo.

By uploading you promise that you took the photo or hold the rights to it, that every identifiable person in it has agreed to its use as described here, that it contains no confidential production material (sets, scripts, unreleased equipment or anything covered by a non-disclosure agreement), no third-party marks you cannot license, and nothing unlawful or hateful.

Every field photo is reviewed by a person before it is shown. We may decline or remove any photo at any time without giving a reason. Files for declined photos are deleted. You can remove your own photos from C.A.T.I. from your account page; removal stops future display on the site but does not withdraw uses already made under the licence, and the promotional licence continues for material already produced. Write to [email protected] if you want a photo excluded from future promotional use.

Accounts

Sign-in is by a one-time email link; there is no password. Keep your mailbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or upload material that breaks these Terms. To delete your account, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with.

Acceptable use

Please use the site responsibly. Automated scraping, abusive requests, or attempts to disrupt service are not allowed. Reach out to the team if you need bulk access or API guidance.
